What is Co-existence of Civilizations?

"The crisis started in Denmark. For this reason, it has to be in Denmark that a new form of global way of thinking begins. Rarely has the possibility of influencing the world been better for Denmark. And the responsibility has never been heavier."

Statement by Erik Rasmussen, CEO of Monday Morning and initiator of Co-existence of Civilizations

The Co-existence of Civilizations is an initiative taken by The House of Monday Morning in co-operation with twenty-two influential Danish organizations, companies and persons for the purpose of taking advantage of the lessons from the so-called Cartoon Crisis.

In the light of these developments, the Co-existence of Civilizations has since February 2006 initiated a number of conferences and meetings in order to start a dialogue on, what it takes to strengthen co-existence across nations, cultures, religions, and values. A large number of organizations and key figures from the academic milieu, business, media and cultural institutions and the civil society have so far contributed to this dialogue.

In the autumn 2006 the initiative goes international, as the Co-existence Expedition will be spread worldwide.
